Gareth

Director
Gareth
graduated with a degree in Financial Services, and following a
season playing cricket in New Zealand, entered the finance sector
with Bristol & West. Following around 5 years in mortgage
administration, financial advice and mortgage underwriting roles,
he then joined SPML as a mortgage underwriter, where he worked
for several years before moving to Abbey Alliance Limited to move
to the other side of things as a broker. Two years later saw the
birth of CMS Limited, which was formed by Gareth and colleague
Owen Mallia.
Based
at Head Office in Bristol, Gareth is an experienced property investor
and with mortgage underwriting experience both in the prime and
sub-prime sectors and with mortgage advising experience, he has
seen the mortgage industry from all angles, so is in a strong
position from which to offer specialist advice. He has helped
several of his clients build up and manage large property portfolios
from scratch, and offers advice across the sector from buy to
let, secured and commercial lending to first time buyer and adverse
credit scenarios.
Gareth
enjoys many sports and with a passion for cricket, having recently
toured Fiji and Samoa with the prestigious MCC. He has played
several seasons of Premier League cricket across the country,
and played rugby at club level in the Bristol area.

Owen
Mallia BA(Hons) CeMAP
Director
The
Senior Director (in years!) at Clifton Mortgage Services Ltd is
ex-professional Motor Cyclist and keen sportsman Owen Mallia.
Since attending the University of British Columbia in the early
nineties where he attained a degree in Business Management, Owen
has been involved in financial services; he joined the Lombard
Financial Group in 1995 where he trained in Finance and Insurance
services. Owen transferred to the Mortgage and Investment sector
in 1998 and has been providing sound mortgage and investment advice
from his practices in Torquay, Taunton and now Bristol, he is
qualified to provide mortgage advice and has attained the Certificate
of Mortgage Practice (CeMAP) qualification.
Since 2004 Owen has specialised in investment-property mortgage
advice and portfolio management and welcomes enquiries from existing
relationships and new clients alike.
Owen hold associations with a number of property intermediary
companies and occasionally guest speaks at selected seminars.
